MOMENTS helps you meet travelers and locals at real-world Moments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

MOMENTS ("we", "us") is the app "MOMENTS: Travel Friends". Contact: hello@momentstravel.app.

What we collect

Account: your email address, or your Apple / Google sign-in, and a password if you choose email sign-in.
Profile: first name, birthdate (only your age is shown to others), gender (optional, can be hidden), photos, bio, interests, languages, home country and the people you want to meet.
Activity: Moments you create, join or request to join, chat messages, stories, friends, blocks and reports.
Location: only while you use the app and only if you allow it, to show what is near you. Your exact position is never stored on our servers or shown to others; Moments show the place their host chose.
Purchases: whether you have MOMENTS Plus or Highlights. Payments are handled by Apple or Google – we never see your card.
Device & usage: push notification token, app version, language, and anonymous usage events (never names, messages or exact locations).

How we use it

To run the app: your account, your profile, the map, joining Moments, chat and notifications.
To keep the community safe: verifying photos, handling reports and blocks.
To improve MOMENTS and understand which features people use.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who can see what

Other members see your public profile (name, age, photos, bio, interests, country). Guests of a Moment that the host approves stay hidden until you are let in. You decide who can message you and who sees your Instagram in Settings.

Service providers

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf:

Clerk – sign-in and accounts
Supabase – database and file storage (servers in the EU, Frankfurt)
RevenueCat, Apple and Google – subscriptions and purchases
Expo, Apple and Google – push notifications
AppsFlyer – measuring which links and campaigns bring people to the app (no advertising ID is used)
Apple Maps / Google Maps – maps; Google Translate – optional translation of text you choose to translate

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photos and personal data are deleted; some records may be kept for a short time where the law requires it or to prevent abuse.

Your rights

You can see and edit your profile in the app, and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct or delete it by emailing hello@momentstravel.app. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and tell you in the app when the change is important.
